The Durham Business & Professional Chain is Durham's oldest African American business advocacy organization. Founded in 1937, its mission is wealth creation through the removal of structural barriers to African American economic participation.

Rites of Passage Program Graduated 33rd Class 2022
If you are searching for a positive mentoring program during the school year for an African American young man ages 13 – 17, you’re invited to learn more about the Durham Business & Professional Chain’s Rites of Passage Program.
The Rites of Passage Program has a 33 year history of helping our young people learn to take responsibility, to develop positive life skills and to lead more successful lives.
The Rites of Passage celebrated our 33rde Annual Graduation Ceremony where we recognized the graduates’ achievements, uplifted them in their role as adults and positioned them for continued success in all their future endeavors.
